Due North 2004 - Thank You

2004 Due North Conference Logo

Another Due North has come and gone. From the feedback we received by attendees, the quality of speakers was the best ever and the support from the exhibitors was the highest we ever had. The one disappointment remains the numbers of registrants. Despite very high quality international numbers, not enough people attended to ensure the financial success of the conference. The comments sheets were excellent and in particular, the sessions on Terrorism and Humour in EMS received very high ratings. These are the same presenters who delivered at EMS Today where you would easily spend over $1,000 US to attend similar sessions.

This was the first time the Eastern Region organized the conference with the excellent help of Helen Letourneau from HQ as usual.  Rounding out the team was Bill Lewis and Dawn Trabbish. I would like to express my appreciation for their hard work.  Despite tremendous work commitments, and very tight time lines we pulled it through.

As transport officer, Bill Lewis handled the airport shuffle. Despite some zealous ticketing at the airport, he continued to deliver our speakers on time and most importantly, brought them back on time also. Dawn helped to stuff the envelopes and prepare the packages and woman the registration.

You can view pictures and comments elsewhere on this site to either remind you how much fun you had or what much you missed if you could not make the conference.

Have a safe summer.
