Superior North EMS Emergency Vehickes to Sport Fresh New Look
Superior North EMS Emergency Vehicles to Sport Fresh New Look
June 29, 2009 - EMS vehicles will begin sporting a new paint scheme that reflects key elements of Northwestern Ontario. The blue and teal scheme represents the area lakes and the sky and flora of the area. This new scheme gives us a fresh look and an identity unique to Superior North EMS while breaking away from the former orange, angular striping scheme.
An important added benefit of the new paint scheme is increased visibility. EMS vehicles will now be much more visible to other drivers because the total area of reflectivity has increased significantly and highly reflective striping has been added to provide definition to the vehicle's shape.
EMS vehicles will be painted in the new scheme as they are put into service. It will take about 5-7 years for the entire fleet to be in the new scheme.
These EMS vehicles will soon be seen on the road responding to emergency calls, with new vehicles being posted to Thunder Bay, Conmee Township, Marathon, Nipigon, and Geraldton.
An ambulance in the new paint scheme may be viewed by media personnel on Monday, June 29 at 1:30, at Superior North EMS' Roland St Station. EMS leadership personnel and paramedics will be on hand to discuss the features and benefits of the new paint scheme.
