Support the Troops

In 2008 the Lake Superior Scotish Regiment began hosting a "Support the Troops" fundraiser with all proceeds going to assist Thunder Bay reservists, especially those deployed overseas.

Funds are used:

  • to send care packaged to Thunder Bay reservists serving in Afghanistan and other oversea missions
  • establish a scholarship fund to support continuing education
  • purchasing memorial plaques for those who have served overseas

Since its inception Superior North EMS paramedics and support staff have contributed generously.  Each year funds and goods were collected to create them baskets that were raffled off at the event.
